UK Construction Week has partnered with business network specialists Finditin to create a brand new networking lounge that will give visitors invaluable access to buyers from a myriad of Tier One contractors.
The new Finditin Big Buyers Lounge will be a hive for networking opportunities across all three days of the show (October 1-3) from 10am-5pm, with the chance to meet and have key conversations with multiple buyers from big name construction companies.
Confirmed companies for the lounge include:
The UK’s biggest event for the built environment, UKCW Birmingham will feature a host of Tier One contractors across the show floor, both exhibiting and speaking on the many hubs and stages - including Mace Group chairman and chief executive Mark Reynolds who will be giving a main stage keynote speech at 12.30pm on October 2.
Another big coup for UKCW Birmingham will see Nick Smallwood, chief executive officer, IPA (Infrastructure and Projects Authority) appear on the first day (Tuesday October 1) as part of a main stage expert panel discussing UK Construction Industry Outlook: Navigating the impact of external economic factors and Government policies on the construction Industry.
Other top tier construction companies to be found at UKCW include: AtkinsRealis; Caddick Construction Group; Mott Macdonald; Wates; Willmott Dixon; Balfour Beatty; Laing O’Rourke; Robertson Group; CPC Civils; Keltbray; DBE Services ; Biffa; Acivico Group; 360 Degrees Consultancy; Galloway Construction; and McAuliffe Group.
Sam Patel, divisional director – Construction, said: “We know from visitor surveys that one of the key draws to our shows is to network and have meaningful conversations with decision makers from Tier One construction companies, so the introduction of the Finditin Big Buyers Lounge really makes a statement - that UKCW is the place to do business.”
Finditin has become the local place for suppliers to find tenders, contracts and Meet the Buyer events, and works with private sector buying and supply chain teams and public sector procurement departments to provide as many opportunities as possible through the websites and Meet the Buyer events.
The Finditin network has an incredible 80,000+ users across the West Midlands, making it the West Midlands’ largest business platform that promotes supply chain opportunities alongside the regeneration development progress, good news of local work won and associated social value commitments.
