Homebuilder acquires new site

Award-winning homebuilder Spitfire Homes has completed the acquisition of a 1.6 acre site formerly occupied by West Midlands Police on Rose Road, in Harborne.

Having recently completed the nearby Beaufort collection on Norfolk Road in Edgbaston, Spitfire intends to transform the new site into townhouses and apartments.

In addition to Harborne, Spitfire has recently acquired a 12-acre site in Coventry to deliver over 180 homes, reinforcing its commitment to delivering much needed new housing across the Midlands.

Operations director at Spitfire Homes Matt Vincent said: “Rose Road enables Spitfire to deliver more premium properties in one of the city’s most sought-after addresses. Following the strong demand we experienced with Beaufort, which is located just half a mile away on Norfolk Road in Edgbaston, it’s clear that buyers are looking for high-quality homes in statement addresses, and the acquisition of Rose Road allows us to deliver exactly that.

“We are confident this will be another standout addition to our Bespoke Collection portfolio and look forward to collaborating with relevant stakeholders throughout the planning process to deliver the best possible outcome for the community."
