Recruitment firm signs new lease

A fast-growing recruitment company is moving into the ground and lower ground floor in The Atrium, in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.

That Recruitment Company, which is set to double its current workforce of 15, has taken 3,278 sq ft in the 14,704 sq ft building at 18-20 Frederick Street.

Ed Siddall-Jones, managing director of Siddall Jones which handled the letting, said: “The Atrium is a fantastic building with very little competition in the Jewellery Quarter for space of this quality and size. The building has been lovingly restored to provide superb headquarter office facilities with a stunning glass atrium.”

That Recruitment Company was set up in 2013 by founder Chris Stringer and has quickly established itself from its Birmingham headquarters as the IT recruitment company of choice in the Netherlands and Germany, with offices in Amsterdam and Berlin.

Chris Stringer said: “The Atrium is a stunning building which allows us a lot of scope for personalisation and both the agents Siddall Jones and the landlords have been very helpful in understanding our plans and requirements. We wanted offices that were professional but also offered that quirkiness that helps make it fun to go to work. We are very big on work and lifestyle balance, so this was an important factor.

“We also like the B1 postcode and the sense that we are at the heart of the Jewellery Quarter’s fast growing business community.”

He added that the move from their previous offices in The Big Peg, Hockley, was to cater for expansion and they planned to double their existing workforce of 15 to 30 in coming months.

Siddall Jones negotiated a five year lease. Wolferstans Solicitors advised the landlord and That Recruitment Company was advised by Wall James Chappell Solicitors.
