The M6toll has announced new pricing, including a new money saving product and a half price offer for those who regularly use the road.
The price changes will see a 10p rise for cars at all toll plazas, a 50p increase for vans and a 60p increase for HGVs using the road, with the new prices coming into effect from July 8.
M6toll is offering car drivers a half -price offer on its Hopper product - the introductory three-month deal is designed to encourage new customers off local roads and offers 14 journeys for £19.50 a week.
With increasing numbers of people in the region returning to their daily commute, the Hopper is ideal for those looking to save money and time by avoiding congestion on local routes. As it comes in on July 8, the Hopper will also provide a welcome boost to staycationers looking to get their summer getaway off to a great start.
M6toll has also launched the FlexiVan, which offers van drivers ten pre-paid trips for £69, a saving of 38%, for journeys between junctions T4, T5 and T6.
The new FlexiVan product has been developed to encourage more van drivers onto the M6toll with the promise of faster journey times and efficiencies for businesses and with the benefit of taking commercial vehicles off more local congested routes.
Julie Davies, commercial director at Midland Expressway Ltd, said: “One of our biggest aims is to encourage more switching of local journeys onto the M6toll, and in doing so encourage road users away from local traffic hotspots and busy routes.
"For commuters looking to avoid congested local routes and who might not have considered the M6toll for their journey, the new half price Hopper introductory offer gives them an ideal opportunity to trial the M6toll for three months. It will let them experience how much time they could be saving on their regular journeys each day, particularly at a time when many people are beginning to travel to work again on a more frequent basis.
“We’re also excited to launch the new FlexiVan product. The aim of the FlexiVan product is to help tradespeople and delivery drivers reduce the amount of the time they spend on the road and allow them to get on with their business."
