Show promotes franchise opportunities

This year's National Franchise Exhibition will open its doors at the NEC, Birmingham, on October 4 and 5, to provide the spark of inspiration for the next generation of franchise entrepreneurs.

Aspiring business owners are invited to the event to kickstart their journey to business ownership and unlock the potential of franchising - an established and lucrative business model.

Exclusively supported by the British Franchise Association (BFA), the event will showcase over 100 franchise brands from a broad range of sectors including McDonald’s, Vodafone IT Business Hubs, Ben & Jerry’s, Anytime Fitness, Home Instead and many more.

A packed programme of over 50 free talks covering all aspects of franchising will help inform and inspire attendees to take the next step on their franchise journey. Prospective investors will benefit from ‘an introduction to franchising’, real franchise stories, Q&A sessions, and deep dives into specific sectors.

Highlights will include a keynote presentation from award-winning journalist, broadcaster and now franchisor Steph McGovern. A familiar face on TV, Steph has been at the forefront of financial and business journalism making her well-placed to comment on the current economic landscape and the potential benefits of investing in a franchise today.

Her keynote talk - A new era – the power of franchising in today’s economy - is sure to provide valuable insights and inspire entrepreneurs to create wealth through franchising.

Throughout the event, industry experts will be on hand to offer complimentary one-to-one advice. Specialist lawyers will decode the legalities, funding providers will shine a light on the range of finance options, and franchise consultants will offer insights into the practicalities.

This year’s event introduces new features including the BFA Lifestyle Zone, highlighting BFA member brands with investment levels of £12,000 or less. These brands span diverse sectors such as pets, children’s activities, and personal services.

Additionally, the event debuts the Taiwan Pavilion, showcasing brands ready to enter the UK market, offering everything from bubble tea to innovative hair and beauty products.

Existing franchisees with ambitions to expand their portfolio should register for the Multi-unit Franchise Conference. Established multi-unit operators and representatives from brands including Domino’s Pizza, Home Instead, and Ben & Jerry’s will share their secrets on how to build a franchise empire.

Tracy Shah, managing director, Venture Marketing Group, said: “Running for more than 30 years, The National Franchise Exhibition is an industry-leading event with exhibitors representing a range of sectors from food and beverage to care, education and fitness. The event has helped thousands of people find their perfect franchise opportunity and we cannot wait for more of the same at the NEC, Birmingham, this autumn.”
