Birmingham Law Society has hosted its annual general meeting to welcome its new president for 2024/2025.
Richard Port - a family law partner at George Green LLP - has been sworn in, succeeding Alice Kinder who was the youngest president in the society’s history.
Richard, is a strong advocate for victims of domestic abuse and has chosen “Voices” as his theme for the year.
He is passionate about amplifying those who lack the ability or platform to speak up, both within the community and the membership. Richard aims to highlight the outstanding work of members who might not otherwise have the opportunity to shine.
The AGM will featured reflections from both the outgoing and incoming presidents on the past year’s achievements and future goals for the society.
